Occasional* graphic design studio

We Draw Lines is a graphic design studio based in London, formed by Paul Bailey (Ireland) and Benjamin Schwab (Switzerland) in January 2010. A wide variety of commissioned, collaborative and self-initiated projects bind this duo since they first met on the MA in Communication Design at Central Saint Martins (2006–08).

As the studio share a keen interest in cultural initiatives and contemporary practices, it has led to projects and collaborations with various established institutions and independent practitioners. They are always keen to engage
with wayward thinkers to achieve succinct accessible graphic solutions.

*We Draw Lines came across the term 'occasional design studio' in the book Studio Culture, Unit Editions, in an interview with the design studio Lehni-Trub (Switzerland). Our decision to integrate and utilise this term stems from an observation and belief that this is a model, which consistently exists but currently functions as a bridge elsewhere within the sector. This model seeks to maximise the opportunities available to smaller outfits and determine realistic goals in comparison and/or contrast to the traditional studio structure. The intention is to celebrate these restrictions rather than to undermine the potential of smaller independent initatives.
